The Venture Centre is an outdoor activity centre in the Isle of Man that specialises in school adventure holidays and activity holidays for schools.

About Us

The Venture Centre is the the main provider of adventure activities on the Isle of Man, offering kayaking, sea kayaking, canoeing, sailing, abseiling, gorge walking, coasteering, archery, target shooting and the assault course. The Venture Centre is based in rolling countryside in the North of the Isle of Man situated right in the middle of the Irish sea, easily accessible by ferry and plane from most areas of the U.K. We are situated in a quiet part of the Isle of Man, 5 minutes walk away from secluded beaches and have scenic cliff top walks 10 minutes away from our site.
Coasteering involves traversing areas of coastline by swimming, climbing around the rocks and jumping off them! This activity always leaves people with a smile on their face and is perfect for those who love the water. All our Coasteering guides are trained in accordance with National Coasteering Charter Guidelines. Due to the nature of this activity you need to be able to swim to participate in coasteering. For weak or non swimmers gorge walking is a great alternative activity. Sessions are available for family groups, social clubs, youth groups with activities aimed at ages 9 years up to adults.
We provide you with buoyancy aid, helmet and full 5mm wetsuits to ensure that you and your group have a safe and enjoyable session. All sessions are tailored to the needs and expectations of the participants.
Please bring a towel, a swimming costume to wear under a wetsuit, robust footwear that can get wet (old trainers are perfect), and a pair of shorts. For Coasteering we will meet up at the Venture Centre to get wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and discuss the activity ahead. We will then walk to the coasteering location (15 minute walk) and return to get changed back at the Venture Centre.
