About Us

Reach Outdoors is waiting to take you on a wild ride on the sea! Discover Devon's hidden landscapes by exploring deep-sea caves and slipping through gaps. With Reach Outdoors' guides, you'll be challenged at a pace that's right for your group and have the opportunity to share an experience with everyone on your trip. Check out Devon Coasteering with Reach Outdoors if you're up for the challenge and up for an adventure.
Reach Outdoors is based in Paignton, South Devon, and our Coasteering activities take place on the stunning coastlines of Torquay and Brixham. The sites we have on offer range from the exhilarating jumps at Ansteys cove to the secluded secret caves at Daddyhole. Are you looking to do something a little different? On a kayaking and coasteer day, we can explore places that other people may not be able to reach!
With a booked session, you will receive expert instructors to guide you, quality 5/3 mm wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets with optional gloves & neoprene socks. You will need to bring a layer to wear under the wetsuit (a swimsuit is usually ideal), shorts to wear over the wetsuit and an old pair of trainers (ones you do not mind getting wet). There are plenty of spare shorts and trainers available, so please let us know when you make your reservation if you require them. You will also need to bring a change of clothes for after the session and a towel. Please be aware that we will be visiting a natural area with no bathrooms or changing facilities.
Anyone aged eight years and older interested in having an adventure and being challenged is welcome to join us. You do not have to have an Olympic swimming experience to join. Although, you should be aware that coasteering is a physically demanding activity. You will need to be able to propel yourself through the water, scramble over rocks, and climb out of the water onto rocks at least. Parents or guardians of under 18-year-olds will be required to sign the AOR form (linked below) and be present on location for the event, but they are not required to be in the water with them. For open sessions, under 12's must be accompanied by an adult.
