About Us

With Coasteering at Jurassic Watersports, you can challenge yourself in ways you cannot experience anywhere else! In spite of the fact that coasteering has something to offer everyone, we are confident you will never be pushed beyond your limits with our "challenge by choice" philosophy. At Jurassic Watersports, we make sure that the experience of coasteering with us is one you will never forget. It's an awesome, adrenaline-fueled watersport that involves scrambling across rocky coastlines, climbing, jumping off rocks into the surf and swimming in sea caves. What better place to try it than the Jurassic Coast?
Each session lasts approximately 3 hours, starting at 9:00 am -12:00 pm, 12:30 pm - 15:30 pm and 15:30 pm - 18:30 pm. We do not have strict rules on minimum or maximum numbers, but sessions that aren't cost-effective will not be run. There can be a range of group sizes, but we try to split groups down into smaller groups of 10 per instructor. You can experience our awesome Activities surrounded by your friends and family during our Private sessions. Coasteering is an adventurous sport that requires a lot of physical effort. For our open sessions, we ask all participants are over the age of 14. There are, however, times when we can offer sessions for children aged 8-14. Please get in touch with us if you are interested in booking a child between the ages of 8 and 14.
There will be nothing but top-quality equipment supplied to you, which includes 5mm Tiki Wetsuits, custom-made Peak UK Buoyancy Aids, and top-quality helmets from Palm and NRS. A pair of shoes with laces to protect your feet are necessary to bring to the session, as is a swimming costume that you can wear under your wetsuit. Additionally, you may wish to bring a towel and water bottle, as well as a rash vest or t-shirt for use under your wetsuit or on the way down. You should refrain from wearing contact lenses if you can. Having a spare pair ready after your session will help if you do need them for the session. Additionally, you will be wearing a Buoyancy Aid whenever you are in the water, but it does help if you are comfortable in the water. It is still possible to participate even if you are unable to swim however, you may have difficulty with some of the activities.
Coasteering was one of the first activities we started offering here at Jurassic Watersports when we first opened. It has continued to improve as we discover more caves and new jumps while exploring the coastline every year. Since we have spent more time in our wetsuits on the ledge than anywhere else, we can offer you a Coasteering challenge like no other.
