About Us

Coastal Adventures offers a fantastic experience of coasteering in Croyde. You will enjoy the breathtaking scenery of North Devon while leaping from rocks, swimming through gullies, and exploring the caves that are found along the Baggy Point cliff base. Croyde faces west into the wild Atlantic Ocean. This route enjoys panoramic views that extend across Croyde, Saunton, and Westward Ho! to Hartland Point. It's a superb spot for a sunset session, and you can choose between two routes.
Croyde Fisherman's steps adventure route is designed to give young or less confident coasteers their first coasteering experience. You'll jump up to 15 feet and swim between each jump in a small gully. These protected gullies mean endless fun for everyone in the group as waves and swells wash in. Despite this being our easiest route, you will still need a reasonable level of fitness, and don't forget your sense of adventure. Having grown up in North Devon, our guides will provide you with the best possible experience of what they love doing.
Croyde Coastal Adventures has been developed for those of you looking for a more extended tour of the Croyde Coastline with some bigger jumps, longer swims, and more challenging rock scrambling! The route starts with Fisherman's Steps but continues to Baggy Point, where we hit some bigger jumps and large caves. As this route becomes more exposed to the swell, it is the most condition-dependent adventure we offer. We will be demonstrating many features in this area, and we will cover a fair amount of ground, so you should be in good physical condition.
The route at Hele Bay is situated in a stunning area of North Devon and offers what we at Coastal Adventures believe to be the best coasteering in the area. The sedimentary rock formations provide perfect deep water drops with the biggest accessible jumps available. We start our session on a shingly beach and head west to Ilfracombe harbour. The route mixes swimming, bouldering and leaping from rocks, gradually progressing in height. On clear days, fabulous views extend across the channel to the Welsh Pembrokeshire Coast. We use this location the most since it protects from swells hitting Croyde and Woolacombe.
