About Us

Cornwall offers a unique and exciting coastal experience. You will be able to jump, swim, climb and explore Newquay's beautiful coastline. Each of our coasteering sessions is led by a lifeguard-qualified coasteering expert and last up to three hours. No experience is required, other than a bit of confidence and the ability to swim 50 meters. We are located at Fistral Beach, just a short stroll from our Coasteer routes. All equipment, instruction, and expert supervision are included in the price.
There is no such thing as a typical Coasteer session; they are all unique. Because of the conditions, tides, and people, every Coasteer is an unforgettable experience for you, your group, and us. After you have been kitted out, briefed, and ready, we will begin our journey along the coast seeking exciting locations to make your adventure even more memorable. Imagine swimming through a 50-metre long cave in crystal clear water, ascending into a blowhole chamber, spotting a seal only a few metres away, or simply standing on top of a ledge to watch the gulls flying by before you jump 30 feet into the sea below. An example of a typical coasteering experience. We will teach you all the skills you need during your Coasteer adventure, such as how to safely climb across rocks using three points of contact and how to get into and out of the water. Your guide will provide you with all the information you need and ensure you are comfortable in the surroundings. We assure you that it is all straightforward to understand, and all you have to do is relax and take it all in.
The Gazzle forms part of Towan Head, one of Newquay's most beautiful areas, home to many animals, including seals, seagulls, falcons, and cormorants. The Gazzle is our preferred route since it allows us to vary the different challenge levels depending on group ability. With terrain that ranges from extremely difficult to child-friendly, it has it all, as well as being protected from westerly swells and prevailing south-westerly winds. There are also several historical features in the area, including Newquay's old lifeboat house and slipway. During your visit, you will walk down what was once the steepest lifeboat slipway in Britain when it began operating in the late 1800s. As we explore the coastline, we will cross cliffs and swim from coves while looking for places to explore and cliffs to jump off. The cliff jumps gradually progress in height, starting with a few feet and progressively increasing in size - the highest jump reaches 35 feet (10 metres) for those who feel comfortable and confident doing them. There is always an alternative route for anyone who doesn't wish to jump.
We begin our sessions by assessing the best route for the group to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable time. At high tide, the deeper water allows us to do much bigger jumps if group members demonstrate that they have mastered the 'jump technique' we teach. If not, the highest jump will be between 20 and 25 feet. Please note that smaller children won't be able to participate in the highest jumps due to safety concerns. The session doesn't only involve jumping; there are many different aspects to coasteering, like swimming, climbing, and exploring. Even if you don't want to jump, you will still have an incredible time. We explore the coast during our low tide sessions by swimming, climbing, and sliding through sluices along our route. Low tide coasteering experiences are the perfect mix of wild coastal terrain and breathtaking adventures. It's also possible to see birds of prey and our local grey seals. However, we still offer spectacular jumps - up to 20-25 feet - so you are sure to have the time of your life.
